Jan Kala Sahitya Manch Sanstha is actively engaged in implementing a comprehensive life skills development program using educational methods and a financial literacy program tailored for underprivileged children residing in the urban slums of Jaipur, Rajasthan.
On researching the reasons for unhealthy behaviours causing sustained backwardness in over 10 urban slums, JKSMS learned children and young adults in their immediate environment fail to recognize the challenges and ways to combat financial stagnation and social backwardness. So, we have designed a structured initiative to impart essential life skills and financial knowledge to improve immediate action. Creating an understanding of saving money and the power of compounding, bank visits, or professional counselling to invest money in future building ideas (education, entrepreneurship, partnerships) A carefully crafted curriculum and projects to instil values such as effective communication, networking, problem-solving, decision-making, and addressing intra-conflicts foster personal growth and hope among the participants in breaking the cycle of poverty. The organisation places a strong emphasis on receiving education and guidance on financial management, budgeting, and basic economic principles to make informed decisions about their finances and develop a sustainable approach to economic well-being.

Jan Kala Sahitya Manch Sanstha is actively engaged in the critical cause of child protection within the state of Rajasthan. The organisation is dedicated to addressing the urgent needs of vulnerable children who have become victims of child labour and abuse since 1983 . To support this initiative we established two shelter homes namely APNA GHAR shelter home in Jaipur and Banswara in Rajasthan, specifically designed to provide rehabilitating support to these children in distress. Our Shelter homes serve as safe havens for those young individuals who have experienced the harsh realities of child labour and have been subjected to various forms of abuse. With an idea to fabricate a compassionate environment, the organisation not only has set up a secure living space but also endeavours to empower these children through education, counselling, and skill development programs. Jan Kala Sahitya Manch Sanstha is committed to breaking innocent childhood free of exploitation by providing a nurturing space for these vulnerable children to heal, learn, and regain their sense of dignity as they embark on a path towards a brighter and more promising future.
